good things

there are just a bajillion good things i want to write down okay okay okay.
-not only is God sovereign and constant and powerful and loving and perfect. but he cares about little things. and that is huge.
-i am home! probably for like a week
-zach has been safely in haiti for two days now and i got to talk to him for a little bit today
-i love kombucha
-we went to the farmers market today and got delicious salsa and hummus and strawberries!
-i am working on scholarship applications for next year
-sweet tea
-my cats are still really cuddly
-my sister showed me a way to do my hair after i shower so it WONT get all tangly and now i dont have a huge knot in the back of my head!!! plus my hair is real soft
-we might have a tea party this weeek!
-i've gotten the chance to catch up with some old friends.
-God's been teaching me a lot lately and its been so good.

i'm just stoked on life is all:)

please pray for zachary, he's in haiti til September 27th doing God's work at the Baptist Haiti Mission with his grandparents and aunt & uncle. pray for safety and effectiveness for him and open hearts and ears for the Haitians there.

i love that the ocean never closes. you know like starbucks closes and 9:30 and target closes at 10 and the green forest internet cafe/fro yo place with millions of asians closes at midnight. the ocean never closes and you can go there all the time, whenever you want! and it will always be there!

and now that summer is over, this new journey is beginning.

the house that has been in preperation and prayers for over a year has finally come together. and seeing God bring it together, and i mean there is no possibly way this could have happened without God making it so, has been soo rad.

this summer was not like i expected it to be at all. i really thought it was going to be just easy and fun, just a good time pretty much. especially cause my best friend stephanie was working with me! and i guess i kind of expected any problems i had, to NOT follow me there. but i was soo wrong in every way. there were so many hard things that happened that i had to figure out how to deal with, and completely rely on God in order to do that. and i mean completely. i learned and grew and was stretched and tested-- i had a complete attitude change. and it was so hard. but so good. it hurt soo good.
other than the hard stuff, the summer was wonderful. i got to be in a beautiful place with some of my best friends in the world, and work with kids-- best job ever.
i'm so thankful for the crazy, hard, stressful, wonderful summer i just had.

thank you jesus.
